while cleaning out his tank today I noticed a small bump on Tweeks side, does not look like pineconeing, not red or inflamed just a small bump on his side. Should I be real worried? it does not seem to bother him at all, and he is quite happy and busy

and YES I know his tail is chewed...it is now healing but he did that to himself when he was stressed from being in a divided tank where he could see other bettas and my noisey son the next room over....hence the moveing all the tanks to the basement and Tweek getting his own tank away from everybody.

strange that looks like the mysterious zit/blister that landed on livingstons face more then two months ago.
i had just finished moving us both back and forth for spring brake, and two days after moving him back in to his home in the dorm that little zit appered.
i treated him with betta revive for a week and it went away on its own. i searched everywhere for answers to what it was, even came to this forum for the first time.
the best answer i got was that maybe he hurt himself some where. it is possible tweek hurt himself on his side too.
like i said i treated with betta revive but i am sure and antibiotic like melafix won't kill him, espeically if it acts like a typical blister and bursts.
good luck i hope someone comes up with a better answer ^.^

no bubblestone, its not like a bubble. its like a small bump pushing his scales up, it is very possible that he hurt himself, he can hurt himself in a bare tank I think. well I am going to post in the emergency section so more people can see it.

his tank is already being melafixed and has salt added.

well after asking in the emergency section, it is either a tumor or some sort of bacterial problem, I am going to do a round or two of meds to see what it does for him.

I hope this clears up, I was realy realy looking forward to pretty pink fry from this guy.

Hi, did you look at his bump carefully? Often times, animals hide any sort of illness. It could be a fish lice. Oh, and by the way, your betta is very beautiful!!

u hav to remember fish r like all off us lumps n bumps are common, sometimes just appear does nt always meen somethings wrong.
the most important thing is to be sure wot ur treeting be4 the salt n med go in.

this is the best close up I have taken, does not look like lice to me, but I am most certainly not the expert.
