With my new young goldfish they find it much easier to find there food on the surface with the filter turned off due to the lack of water movement.
Just wondering if there is anything wrong with turning the filter off for a couple of minutes whilst feeding and turning it immediately back on straight after?

Thanks.

Nothing wrong but you could also consider a feeding ring like you use in a pond, those these indoor tank ones use suction cups to stick onto the glass. The fish will remember where they're normally fed from then but you could always remove it afterwards.

A few minutes at a time is no big deal with your filter. Don't forget to turn it back on when they are done. You don't want the tank sitting for hours at a time with no filter.
