this little guy spends alot of time on the bottom. When he does swim it is usualy pretty breifly, he sinks down tail first
Makes me wonder if the lump is sore or heavy

What do you think it is?
What treatment is there?

Depends if your from UK or US on treatments I think.

for small sores I tend to use melafix. That looks quite large though.

is the fish eating ? Are you water stats OK ?

Maybe wilder will post - wilder tends to be very good on illnesses and medications.

There is some melafix on the way to me, new food and some test strips (I adopted this fish)
I have been reading other "lump" posts, would it be sensible to treat it as a bacterial infection, then parasitc before considering it to be cancer like thing?
I was at the vet today, she said it is possible to operate on fish but it is limited by anestethic issues.
