I have just bought a box of freeze dried tubifex. The box does not say exactly what to do with it though, and being new to this I'm not sure either!
They are like small cubes, but do I soak them first to beak them up, let them float around on top of the water, break them up into small pieces or tie it on the end of a piece of cotton. Sorry if this sounds dim!

If I'm thinking of the same thing, then you can try "sticking" them to the side of the tank - just press one onto the glass. The fish will find it, and probably knock it off. Or just chuck one in & let it float around.

I used to use these when I kept Tiger Barbs; but 15 of them, chasing one cube around the tank was sometimes a bit too violent

Ice cubes i guess? Just leave them on the side to defrost, Once they have sling them in the tank :)

Ah. Squarefish, are we talking about frozen, or freeze dried ? If they are like small icecubes, then do as Allen suggests

Yeah the Interpet Freeze Dried Tubiflex isn't great. I used to put it in and let it float about, it broke up over time and the fish ate it but to be honest I wouldn't recommend using it... or feeding tubiflex at all. Tubiflex is manufactured in sewage works :( I mean obviously the freeze-dried stuff will be safe but it's difficult for the fish to eat and I would never use frozen tubiflex, not only because it's manky and unsafe but because the fish don't seem all that bothered by it either.
