Fish Crazy
At the Pittsburgh Science center they had an aquarium display with 3 large tanks inter connected by 6 inch clear PVC. The fish seem to love zipping from one tank to the next.
Has anyone played with this method of connecting tanks before? I know it takes some serious construction.
I guess my main question here is, does anyone have any experience with fish swiming through a tube in their tank? Do they like to go through?
I was thinking of making a U bend of clear PVC and sumberging it in the tank, then I would rise the U bend up out of the water leaving the two ends submerged. This would keep the water held in the tube. Its similar to putting a galss under water and pulling it out by the base, the water remains in the glass until the glass edge breaks the surface. So in a similar fashion, the U tube would hold the water since both ends are below the water line.
My question is, I wonder if the fish would go on an adventure and swim through the tube. Could be an interesting experiment. 8)
