Hi folks. I'm new to this forum.
A month or so ago I acquired a fish from my son but he could not remember what it was called. It had been bullied by it's partner and had received a bite wound and was extremely timid. We treated it for a week or so and it has fully recovered from its wound and has now become a relaxed and contented member of our community aquarium. In fact it is an honourary Clown Loach as ours seem to have adopted it.
I couldn't insert an image into this post so I have used a picture as my avatar. I have been assured that it is not a Discus but my local stockist cannot identify it from a picture. Size is about 3" from nose to tail.

Looking forward to some suggestions

Its a Scatophagus argus atromaculatus or ruby scat to be exact. These are brackish/marine fishes which will not be able to live long term in a freshwater tank. They grow quite large (to about the size of a mans hand) and are extreemly messy eaters so a large tank with powerfull filtration is needed to keep them.
