This is just out of curiosity, do True Albino Betta's/Siamese Fighters exist? are they common?

I've got a 60l tank in the garage and was thinking that black sand with some nice lighting, would make a nice set up for an Albino Betta, with about 6 Albino Corydoras. This is just out of curiosity, haven't seen or heard anything about this type of set up before.

Anyone know?

There are white ones. I dunno about true albinos. There should be an albino of everything but some times there hard to find.

Are the white ones rare at all? Haven't ever seen a white one, let alone an albino in any fish shops. The Albino would be ideal though to fit with the idea of this new setup; but as you say, they're so hard to find along with any information about them.

I have seen white albinos, they are unique, not necessarily rare. Albino betta fish do exist, but in very small quantities. These fish would probably be considered "rare" and would have a hefty price tag, I imagine. The strain of albino betta is apparently difficult to maintain. I saw one on aquabid once, though, and I don't remember the price, but it was far more than my usual twenty dollar betta budget.

Albinos exist, but they're pretty rare. Platinum/white bettas are pretty common if you look for them in the right places, check Aquabid I'm pretty sure you'll find both albino and white bettas. If you see a albino platinum halfmoon though, be sure the breeder is going to ask you for a wallet busting price, as those are truely the rarest bettas.

Just searched and found an article on about a True Albino Betta on aquabid, and you're all right about the hefty price tag.. $2000. I think I'll have to look for a white betta, surely they're cheaper haha! I think £50 would be the budget, because I suppose i've gotta spend a little more than my usual 20 quid max! Is there any stores in the UK that have a larger than usual Betta selection? MA never seems to have any, and P@H.. well.. nevermind :p
