I have LOTS of molly fry ranging from 1 month to 6 months. 2 of my 6 month old fry I'm not sure what they are! 1 is male, 1 is female, the male developed his gonopodium very early, around 2 months old I'd say, since then he's been trying to mate with everything in sight, including adult male mollies 3 times his size! Anyway, they both beige coloured with big black eyes, black tails and black dorsal fins. They don't look like mollies and I did have a female guppy (now deceased). However the male has not started to change colour yet, he's still the same colour he was as a baby and he's now 6 months old. He also has a split in his tail, this happened when he was about a month old, it's never got any worse but it's never repaired itself either.

Any ideas? Oh they're the same size as the molly fry born at the same time which are mainly white and dalmations. Is it possible they're mollies after all? At 6 months the mollies still can't be sexed, they all still look like females.

Maybe they are guppy molly hybrids. Do you have any pictures?

A golly? Hmm are they not very vulnerable? These 2 seem tough as old boots! I've got a pic, not a good one, I think it's the female who's a tad bigger than the male. I'm leaning more towards molly now, they're def molly shaped, but have bigger eyes than the rest, and I've never seen the same colouring on another molly!

Anyway, what do you think?
