Hi
I m new to the world of acquarium.
I have been reading a lot and decided to go for a fish less cycle, as I could not stand to see the fish die if something go wrong.
I read that in order to speed up and get a more stable fish less cycle I could get some gravel from an established tank and use it to populate the bacteria into my acquarium

I m in London area, could any one suggest how I could proceed with this? as well other suggestion usefull for a new to this world
reading is good, and I can do a lot, but it is not so valuable as experience

Cheers
B

If you're looking for mature media, your better of trying to get some sponge from a mature filter. You can then put this in your filter and it should hopefully populate your own filter quicker. There are very little amounts of the bacteria in the gravel... the filter is where its all at :p

You could have a look on the list of members willing to donate mature media that is on one of these forums or make a thread about mature media someome might be able to post you some possibly for a small fee

We do indeed have a thread with a list of media donors. I have a link to it in my signature. You can't really expect someone to pay shipping for you but if you can find someone close, a donation of mature media should be relatively inexpensive to obtain.
