Does anybody have a preference over what brand of fish food they use. Are there any brands to stay clear of?

I use a variety of brands of fish foods, but when it comes to flakes i like the TetraPro brand a lot as i find their fish flakes don't tend to go stale so quickly as some other fish flake brands do and they also have a wide range of different types of fish flakes which is handy too.

i use whatever is brand name and on sale at my lfs.
ex: tetramin, wardley, and hikari (sp?)

I use a variety of products...mostly Tetra (because they are the most available) and Hikari (because they vitamin enrich a lot of their freeze dried treat products). I've also heard good things about Omega One.

Also, although it's a bit more expensive...I buy everything in the smallest size available because I like to feed a variety, and because dried foods lose nutritional value over time. To keep bigger treat containers fresher I'll keep a small amount in a sealed container, and store the main container in the freezer. I toss out main staple foods like flakes after 3 months if they haven't been completely used.

Oh yeah i forgot about Hikari and TetraMin- their fish foods are very good too. TetraFin does very good goldfish foods as well, while hikari is also very good for goldfish and koi foods too.

I use King British flake-i have also bought the bagged stuff from ebay - it all seems good stuff to me and my fish luuuuv it.

i feed nutrafin max mainly.. as its the most common thing i can find around here, and my fish generally like it, just a few picky fish dont like it,
otherwise i have yet ot try another brand of fish food, my dad said he had the same problems with this food as well, he says he used to feed a diff. brand, im going ot have to ask him sometime....

We tend to use TetraPro for our bigger fish and TetraBetta for the smaller ones. We also use the Hikari wafers for our Plecos.
