Tetra color doesn't cloud water unless you feed too much.

I've noticed that If I just took a pinch of flake from the tub some of it tends to "powder" What I do now is to tip the tub slightly and tap the edge rapidly with my finger, this introduces intact flake to the tank and reduces the amount of cloudiness, hope this helps!

I dont overfeed, but it still clouds.
Maybe it's a differential filteration thing. Is yours good? Perhaps soaking the flakes before feeding reduces clouding.

I like the Tetra Pro Colour, not sure if yours is the same sort of thing?  They are like little discs and they do not cloud the water, the fish love them.  You can also get an Algae version which is equally as good.  My profile tells you more on the range of foods I have found good to feed.

I also came across a new moist food recently which you will find here http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/416102-moist-pelleted-fish-food/

TIP: I buy the large drums as it is cheaper in the long run, but decant a smaller portion into a small tub, thus maintaining vitamin content etc.

Let us know what you go for, and how you get on?

Can you put your location into your profile as different countries have different foods, meds etc. so it would assist in advising you further.

The only issue with buying food in "bulk" is flake loses its nutritional value over time so best not to buy too big of a tub

Agreed, hence I was advised to decant (as above) thus maintaining the vitamin content.  I use a lot of it anyway so go through it in no time.

I use New Life Spectrum. I've not had water clouding with any fish food.

Ditto, I have not had cloudy water from any food either.

fish food does not cloud water....user error does....

changing to a different food will not solve your problem....your problem is overfeeding or a lack of proper tank/filter maintanance....or a combination of both....

Tetra foods are one of the highest quality foods out there....you cant do any better

Never had a problem with food clouding the water. And I grind up flake for the fry.
I agree, overfeeding, underfiltration, and insufficient waterchanges are to blame for cloudy water.
