Clown fish have special needs and need HUGE tanks. Best to start researching before making up your mind. :) I can't part with any tanks I have.

Welcome to TFF! ;)

Hi ya, I am also new here. I am however not new to the addictive world of fishkeeping.

Someone's been watching Finding Nemo

Clown fish are marine and therefore not for beginners. I would suggest you start small with a 2 foot freshwater tropical, or even coldwater tank and see how you get on.

There's a lot to be said for the joys of goldfish.

I think we were refering to clown loaches, but I am not sure.
If this is the case, then sorry, my bad.

But my local arine aquarium store told be that he's sold more clown fish in the time since Finding Nemo came out than in the previous five years.

Many people coming back the next day complaining that they died.. they had put them in a goldfish bowl.

Sad but true.

The same sort of thing happened in the early 90s when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was around. Now all our park ponds are full of Red Eared Sliders.

Hi sweet-Angel :D

Welcome to the forum :flowers:

Fishkeeping is a wonderful hobby. But there is more to it than just buying a tank and some fish. First you have to understand a bit of science. To get started, I suggest that you read this article:

http://fish.orbust.net/forums/index.php?sh...showtopic=10099

Then go to the beginners section and start asking questions. There are many experienced fishkeepers who will be happy to help you get happily started. And don't worry, it's not as difficult as it might appear!
