Hi, My big old bad-boy Tropheus Duboisi has been constantly chasing my newly acquired juvenile pair of Neolamprologus Tretocephalus and now they are both hiding.....always!

All the other stock he ignors......would he be after them because of their colour and maybe he thinks they are a same species threat (that's my guess)

As adults the Neolamprologus Tretocephalus are formidable sparring partners so he had better watch out if they survive

Any comments

Not too surprising, Tropheus are known to be aggressive. I know you recently upgraded your tank, but did you move your rockwork around right before adding the N.tretocephalus? If you have a QT tank you might move the duboisi for a week to give the newcomers a chance to settle in.

Yes I do move the rocks around....a lot! The rocks are hollow and I remove a lot of them to gravel vac and always replace them differently.

One of the Neolamprologus Tretocephalus has perished but the other is now out and about and is ignored by the Duboisi like the others.

Another oddity is now occurring. All the fish including the Tropheus Duboisi are occupying one end of the tank :/
