Trip To The Dallas World Aquarium - Pictures!

Well, my wife and I just got back from the Dallas World Aquarium, and I thought I'd share a few pictures...

wow i love the 11th pic! is that a weedy sea dragon? i drew a dragon based on one of those

That is indeed a sea dragon. They had a whole tank full, I believe in the Australian tank. Their marine tanks each represent a different part of the world, then they also have a predator tank, which is where the lion fish and a couple others from my pictures were.

the 8th and 9th are my favorite. Such an adorable puffer. I love that it is looking at you as much as you are looking at it.

My wife loves the sea dragon and seahorses. She thinks they're magical (saw them in person for the first time at our LFS the other day). She's determined to have a large marine tank when we get a house, so she can have and breed seahorses

They also had a huge manatee tank, with some fish that looked like arrowanas, but were about 4 feet long and up to 400lbs There were also several catfish in that tank, all over three feet long. They said all of them were donated by people that had them in their home aquariums, and they just got too big. Also, we waited around to see the diver come in that tank to feed all the manatees and fish. It was a lot of fun

i didn't read the message and just started looking at the pics and thought THIS IS THE MOST AWESOME AQUARIUM EVER! then i saw the penguin, and read it was in a aquarium.. haha. my bad
