I am in Canada and wondering if anybody know where I can purchase these guys online, and a place that will ship to Canada? I have been on the search high and low for years and haven't came across any since I was a kid.

Likely the original source was wild stock collected in the US. That fishery has likely dried up, no pun intended. They are native to the states so there might be a number of state and federal laws controlling the sale and distribution of these fish, and there might be Canadian laws as well. From the description of the fish it would seem that it is one that would only be suitable for advanced aquarists so there is not a large market for them if they are legal. I suspect that they are not legal to import into Canada but I couldn't find anything specific to this species.
