I cant post this in the section I wanted so I have put it here..

I have now got myself a Trigon 190 corner tank to go with my 6ft one and its great BUT..................

It seems to me that getting air into the tank can be abit of a problem. What I mean is with my 6ft tank I don't have the airstone on all the time But the 190 needs them on 24/7. Even if I turn the air pump off for a night in the morning all the fish are at the top of the water.

I have been told that the bigger the tank the less problem I will come across, is this just one of those problems or is it the tank.

Any hints or tips about getting air into the water...I have the airstones, the water is going though a external filter and I have plants in there to. Water is changed every week.

As long as you can see ripple of water on the surface you are quite adequatly oxygenating your water. Airstones actually do very little when oxygenating the tank, it will move water slightly, but not much. Also airstones are bad for a planted tank as the 02 will drive off the C02 much needed by plants. Fish will come to the tank overnight to rest, depending on the fish obviously.
