Hi guys may sound a silly question After 6 hours of adding tremazol says do a 80% water change and don't put your lights on then says repeat it after 7 days my silly question is do I have to keep my light for the whole week between each dose and have I got to keep my carbon sponge out all that time .the other thing after using it the first time should you see a big improvement I'n your fish quickly and should they start eating again quickly

Oh and just checked the fish 24 hours after using tremazol there is a lot more White spots on them does this mean it's not worked

Never used tremazol, and your post is not the easiest to understand. But definately have no carbon in your filtration when you use ANY meds at all, as the carbon will simply remove them.

If you are trying to treat whitespot, one of the easiest and best methods is to warm the tank up to about 29-30 degrees C for 2-3 weeks. The whitespot parasites cannot survive and reproduce at these temps. Your fish should be fine though, although make sure you have plenty of aeration in the water as warmer water potentially holds less oxygen.
In addition to this a malachite green/formalin-based treatment is very useful again ich, although be careful with doseage if you have any scaleless fish like loaches (only use half doses in that instance).

PS. When writing, full stops are your friend.
