I have put this post in the chit chat too but with no answers and given this forum deals with diseases and treatments wondered what peole thought...?

Have just been searching a few sites and come across a food (not sure if i am allowed to mention it by name?!) that claims to 'combat Gill & skin flukes/ intestinal worms/ tricodina/ white spot/ leeches/ lice/ oodiniumulcers/ infections & fungus', it doesn't contain antibiotics and says it is harmless to fish and plants.

Has anyone used or have any views on this? It seems to sell itself on being useful for quarantined fish and to lessen the need for water based treatments... Too good to be true or worth a punt?

TIA

Oops never thought of it like that!

Medi Flake
'A remarkable food which has been carefully formulated with Anti- Parasite fungus and bacterial food to combat:

Gill & skin flukes/ intestinal worms/ tricodina/ white spot/ leeches/ lice/ oodiniumulcers/ infections & fungus

Contains no antibiotics or hazardous additives. Medi-flake can be fed at any time but is particularly useful when quarintining fish. It treats them, without having to treat the water. Harmless to fish & plants.'

Just to add i am thinking of using as:
a) staple diet of quarantine fish
b to treat/help treat intestinal worms (red poo)
