Just stocked my tank 6 days ago after completing a fishless cycle and I've just noticed tonight that a number of Neon Tetra's have got Ich. I would say about 6 out of 10 neon tetras currently have between 1 and 5 spots on them. From a distance you can't see them but if you look really close they're there and I'm pretty sure its whitespot.
I've researched treatments and as well as buying treatments a lot of people recommend raising the temperature and/or adding salt. Thing is along with 10 Neon Tetra's, 6 Otocinclus and 1 Bristlenose Pleco I bought 3 female mollies who since arriving have produced between them approximately 25 fry.
So basically I am wondering what is the best course of action. I was planning on leaving the fry in the tank and letting them fend for themselves (they seem to be doing fine at the moment and surprisingly none of the fish are showing much interest in eating them!) and I'm worried that either increasing the temperature or using a treatment could be harmful to the fry.
So should I buy a treatment (if so are there any recommendations of treatments available in the UK)? Or would I be better off increasing the temperature?
