like minion said, its not rely my taste but its not a bad idea. alot of people have theme rooms in their homes and is the ocean is thei theme then it would be perfect for a small aquatic setup. myself, i prefer thta standard glass aquarium

I actually run into the exact same set-up you are describing occasionally at yard sales or estate auctions. I don't know if these have been produced by some aquarium manufacturing company in the past or if they are just home-made projects, maybe something that appeared in a DIY magazine at some point.

Anyway, if the price were right, I would possibly be interested. I am always looking for unique type aquariums, fish bowls, old antique fishkeeping equipment, etc. to display in my fishroom. Actually, if it looked like an old-timey "parlour room" style chest instead of new wood, etc. that would be even more appealing.
