Hi All

Well I searched through this section but couldn't find anything so thought I'd have to post if I wanted an answer :D

OK....I have 3 platy fry in a net....they are aproximately 4-5 weeks old and nearly an inch long (but still skinny....like typical fry).....but they look quite long. I am still worried about them being eaten by the other fish....

Question....what is the maximum time they can be in the breeding net for? Someone was telling me earlier today not to leave them in there too long because it stunts their growth. I do have a 10gallon tank I could put them in if required or would they be OK with the parents and other adult fish in the main part of the tank.

Also....if I did transfer them to the 10gall would they produce enough waste to keep the tank cycled?

Tx in advance

Angela

really there is no maximum time but the longer they are in there the more bored they will get but i suppose they should be fine in your main tank now
