Hi All

I currently have a 48litre tank with a Fluval u2 filter, 4 platys, 4 tiger barbs and a pleco in and would like to move them to my new 180 litre aqua one regency 80 with a aquis 1050 external filte.

What is the best way to do this?

Regards

Assuming the stats are the same in both tanks - ie cycled, matching temp and ph, etc - you should be able to move them straight in.

i have only just setup the new 180 litre tank.

can i move the 48 litres from the old tank to the new tank along with the old filter and run both old and new filter at the same time?

If you put your old cycled filter in the new one and have the same number of fish in the tank, fine. I wouldn't add any more fish until the new filter is seeded and can cope with the extra bioload.

Alternatively, transfer your old filter media into the new filter, if you don't want to run two.
