Do you agree with this statement?

PLANT NUTRITION liquid contains the most important nutrients for healthy and sustained aquarium plant growth. PLANT NUTRITION liquid does not however contain nitrogen (N) or phosphorus (P).

PLANT NUTRITION liquid therefore supplies the nutrients plants easily run out of and which plants ideally absorb via the leaves. These are the nutrients which are supplied via fish excrement and food remnants. We therefore recommend PLANT NUTRITION liquid for aquariums with few plants and a relatively large number of fish.

(as opposed to TPN+) :good:

It is true for the market that instructions are added on bottles for.

AS you may well see, we do not dose by those instructions.

Instructions are always aimed at the aquarium that has plants as decoration for their fish.

So when they say TPN is for tanks with a few plants and a relative large number of fish they mean you standard stock tank ( no upgrades) with quite literally a few plants as decoration and fully stocked to the " per gallon rule.

With their TPN+ statement they mean many plants as quite a lot in terms of an aquarium keeper and relatively low fish stock as in a fair amount less than the standard 1" per gallon rule.

So you see they are not aiming their statement at us. They have to aim it at those who are not really packing the tank out, that aren't upgrading lighting and injecting CO2. Not at those of us who are upgrading, adding (or controlling) CO2, with huge mass of plants in comparison to the 'decorative' user and then pushing the fish stocking up too.

For example my fish stocking is near 2" per gallon. My plant mass is possibly 3x what TPN+ is describing as 'many'. However they expect people like me to be pretty 'clued up' on dosing or to be on forums where the info is available so there I would dose maybe 6ml or more TPN+ daily on my 125ltr. Probs circa 2ml @ non CO2.

So take it as their 'fallback'.

If a drug is useful for say cancer at a 100x dose yet is also a remedy for a basic virus then there is no point detailing the dose for the cancer. That will be administered by someone who knows what they are doing while the basic virus may be taken in a small pill. The dose will be for the basic virus if you get what I mean.

yep absolutely - just trying to gauge whether normal tpn could be used in my tank, but i dont think it would tbh. funds are low atm but i do need to give something to the plants! i dont have loads of plants but a fair few fish.
