Tossed the Rock outta my ten gallon, and . . .

I was getting sick of how flat the original lay out looked, and sick of that rock. It was looking nice with the algae growing on it, but when I switched from SAE to ottos (the SAE went to my friend's 125g) the algae on the rock went bye-bye.

Anyway, here's a shot of the new tank . . . sorry, for some reason the fish didn't get in the shot . . .

Speaking of which, I'll try to get some better shots of the fish in the future, but in the mean time here's the updated pic.

DIY CO2, 2* 15w flourescents, so 30w or 3wpg.

The inhabitants are:

Otocinclus Cats
Kuhli Loaches
Cardinal Tetras
Harlequin Rasboras
Pygmy Licorice Gouramies
Pygmy Emerald Rasbora (though it's acutally been found to be a danio species recently)


Licorice gouramies are a bottom dwelling gourami with black and white stripes that grows to about half an inch in length.

The Pygmy Emeralds are a mid-bottom dwelling danio species that is rather shy and slow moving, but is colored with beautiful orange fins and blue vertical stripes on the body. It grows to be less than an inch long.

Daza-- I'm lazy, or rather good lighting is expensive. Thus, I decided to go with simple Java moss for the fore-ground plant.

anyone think it's too green? I took out the wallichi so it now has no red plants.

I was planning on getting some java moss. I will push it up the list now I've seen what you have done with it!

It is very green. I wouldn't say that it is too green though. If you can add some red it would look good, but I know it is harder to grow red coloured plants isn't it?

I think it would look better SLIGHTLY more tamed: I only wish mine would get like that.
