Torch Under T8's

I don't think so as it may be pushing it a bit but im sure a more experienced person will say.

My torch coral is always the last thing to open when my T5's come on. I would think it unlikely that they would do very well, they certainly wouldn't look any good. I would think that you would only ever see it partially opened and it would gradually fade. Not sure but I would place money on that being the outcome.

As all ready said it wont open up as much and wont last long, they need some decent light.

You might get away with it if you fit reflectors to your tubes but even then I would still recommend putting at least 1 t5 in your hood.

okay, any other anemone type corals that are able under T8's

Do you say that for your clowns to host.

If you want a coral for your clowns to host then they will host loads of things.

Trouble is with t8's is you will be limited as to what corals you can keep.

I mean providing you have reflectors on your tubes and the torch is high up in the tank close to the lights you MAY be able to keep one alive but it will not grow a lot, if any.

Sorry this is my fault, I forgot what lights fishy had. I suggested an anemone style coral to get her bangaii out more. :) oops.

Like said you'll be pushing it with T8's. T5 HO's would be sufficient however plus bear in mind that torch coral benefit from the occasional reef feed.
I have a torch on it's way to me and my lighting are compact PL lamps with reflectors and I expect it to do well.
