Hi all,

Was out today looking for some dwarf Puffers but couldnt find one. I asked someone at one of the fish shops i was in today if they had any dwarf puffers and they asked why i wanted a dwarf, my reply was that i dont understand much about brackish water conditions, how to make it perfect for the puffer so i want a fresh water puffer... I was told that i could have a Topaz puffer as they are fresh water puffers. Is that True?

Also Can anyone suggest any puffer which is Freshwater?

It really depends on what puffer the "Topaz" you are reffering to really is. I have seen a couple species labled as "Topaz": Auriglobus modestus is a FW puffer that MAY tolerate tankmates when young but gets increasingly aggressive and territorial as they mature. Tetraodon fluviatilis is a high end BW puffer that should be moved into SW once it matures, it's aggression levels are generally at the lower end of the scale for puffers but temperment will vary with each indvidual puffer.

p.s. The 3rd picture in my signature is A.modestus

Here is a partial list of FW & BW puffers: Puffers
