i was just wondering what are there inthe reigion of the top of the tank
they will go in with some neon tetras about 10
:good: 1 cae
1 pleco that will get moved at 9 inches :hyper:
oh yeh and it is 63 litres

I hope the tank has a big external for that plec even before it's at 9 inches ;). Because otherwise if your feeding it enough, you will have most likely have water quality problems :).

I'd go with hatchetfish, whichever type you prefer, but I personally like the marbled ones :)

Them or maybe 3 halfbeaks.

Danios would also be good, they usually stay near the top, but aren't strict surface dwellers and if your tank is shallow they will stay from top-middle.

i am quite keen on danios are there any types of danios that are quite small and hardy as im still a noivce fish keeper

Zebra/leopard danios are the same thing and theres all sorts of gold and longfinned combinations of thm.

Pearl danios are awesome too and underrated.

Those are the most common, but most types are hardy and active.

Just avoid big things like 'giant danios' :D.

You could try some blue gouramis, or guppies. I particularly like the tuxedo guppies :hey:

I have 6 swallow rasboras that love keeping near to the surface, they swim backwards and forwards in a school alot of time, while i have seen them socializing with my neon tetras! they also seem shrimp friendly!
