Top Dwellers That Don't Mind A Bit Of Current

What're my options then?

I know hatchet fish are one option but I've been informed that they are a bit still and boring.

This is for my keyhole and tapajo cichlid tank btw if it helps.

Any ideas?

I have hatchets any mine are fairly active and not boring they like the current aswell. Butterfly fish might work aswell but im not sure if they would like the current.

danios love current, as do penguin fish and glass catfish.

My only concern with the african butterfly fish is that the cichlids may peck at it a lot. Plus I've read that they can be quite predatory. ?

Nelly - It's only a 200 ltr tank in question and as much as I love those pink tails they get too big

Nurglespuss - I thought danios were 18-24C preference? My tank runs at 27C to keep the cichlids happy + I've never seen glass catfish at the top of any tank I've seen them in.
I suppose penguin tetras could be a contender though.

I do like the look of hatchet fish, it's just as I say I have been told that they are boring and dont move much. I've searched them on youtube and not found anything to argue that point

Have a look into some nice medium sized barbs,they like all area's of the tank,but some like ticto and spanners are stunners

Hi there, my glass cats used to sit 4 inches below the surface in the outflow of the external filter and then race all round the tank when I dropped food into the flow.

The other thing to note, is that hatchet fish are the only 'flying fish' that actually uses sustained, powered flight, hence those bassive pectoral muscles!

Possibly Pseumugil furcata, although I've no idea upon the Tapajo's typical nature and these guys are only ~5cm and torpedo-shaped.
