I have a 65 gallon tank and only my angels, danios and honey gouramis stay at the top. My bottom is filled with tetras, corys, kuhli loaches, frogs, etc.

Any suggestions for the top? Are Fire Green tetras or true rummy nose tetras top swimmerrs?

Thanks

Hatchet fish for the top level, in a 65gallon I'd say a nice shoal of 12-15 would be good, depending on how many fish you have already

Rummynose are top to mid swimmers and a large school of them would look great. Of course they're my favorite tetra....so maybe I'm a little predjudiced? LOL
Hatchet fish would be nice too, but might be a little too slow for a gourami.

the greatest ant most spectacular top swimmers are arowanas, but they would not live happily in a 65g tank.

I've never known rummy-nose tetras to go near the top, but they were in my uncles tank (which was in terrible condition) so it may have just been that :(.
What do you mean 'too slow' for the gourami?

..........or with any of the fish in that tank   .

Silver hatchet fish or marbled hatchet fish are your best bet. Silver hatchet fish tend to be more active though, and the more you have the more active they will be :good: .
