Can you overdose on water conditioner during a water change, i.e use a whole bottle for a water change. Could this have devastating effect on the fish/water
Different dechlorinators have been tested to different levels for toxicity. Aqua-Plus for example has been tested to 100 times overdose with no effects while Prime says you can overdose up to 5 times.
No No No. I was dosing and wondered what would happen... I'm just a curious kind of guy, I was wondering about levels and at what point it would become bad
yep i use API stress coat given its stress coat abilities and healing powers i over dose regularly if i see fish stressed, also very good for helping fish out in a bad way, i had one fish ripped to shreds when cleaning out my pond, found him on the side still breathing no fins what so ever put him in a tub and every day did a Wc on the tub and used the stress coat literally pored it onto him and 1 week later he started getting upright 1 week after that he was swimming still alive today
i am pretty sure like most products it will evaporate or just fade away over time if you overdose but the chemicals within wont be harmful to the fish just don't go mad i would say if it says 50ml for your tank and you put 5L in maybe we have a problem
My theory is if it contains good stuff for our swimming friends then a little more than normal cant do any harm right. By overdose I done mean litres of the stuff I mean if it says 30ml for 200lts of water than what harm could 50ml do or maybe even double dose
