My LFS just had a sale on their filters and i wanted to replace my old AquaClear 30 with a new filter. the 50 was the next biggest but it was only a few dollars up to a AquaClear 70 so... :fun: But right now the biggest tank i have is a twenty and the filter makes a pretty strong current. So how can i tell if it is too much? :*)

If your fish are getting pushed around from the current. :) Plus you can slow down the current anyway so it's not a big deal.

If the fish look like there struggling in the current, and if it blowing them around the tank, it's to much, can you turn the filter flow down on the filter.

When they swim past the in flowing water it moves them about 1/2 an inch toward the glass. they dont seem to mind they sort of play in the current.
the fish in the tank are listed in my signature or my profile :D

Ohh i see sorry lol, well if its not moving them that much and they dont mind being in the current i dont see any problem, but as said above, you can always turn the flow down.

Can your turn the flow towards the glass that's meant to slow it down.
