Im using a fermentation co2 system. I added 1tsp of yeast today as i thought my plants were looking rubbish. I cleaned out my duffuser and now it works properly. After adding my fermentation container, the co2 is now comming out but about 5-10 microbubbles per second!!. I have microbubbles floating around my tank, is this bad? As it's only been in for about 30mins my fish are showing no sign off ill health. What should i do?

Now to ferts, what ferts do i need? I ahve a 125l tank with about 60 plants in. Please reccommend a fert to buy.

Thanks

Will

I believe you can't overdose Co2 with frementation. (or its very hard to do)

when the mix is made I think its gives out a large boost then finally settles down,
just keep an eye on it and aslong as the fish dont show any gasping your okay,
if they do add some surface agitation and youll be fine

fert wise you can just simply buy some premade solution.
I myself use (Interpret floraboost)

good luck and hopw it all goes well

p.s I dose 20Ml each week and do 25% water change.

well the water clouded up soo much that i could hardly see in. Then the fish started gasping at the surface and their gills went different colours. I soon took out water and added some new oxygenated water. Ive also added 2 air pumps and now the fish are doing ok. There are 3 pumps agitating the water. The water is still very cloudy. How much more water should i take out and how do i get the cloudyness away?

The water should not go cloudy no matter how much co2, the yeast must of gone into the water. Do a 50% w/c every day until cleared. Measure kh and refer to co2 table in my sig or for a more accurate, constant measurment.

For ferts, you can use an off the shelf product, a better all in one would be TPN or TPN+ (TPN+ contains N&P), after that there is EI where you overdose on elements but do a large 50% w/c weekly to refresh the water. Take a look at the pinned thread.

You probably put too much water. Now the mixture has gone in your tank. WC like crazy.

well i did a 50% water change and it has cleared up a lot. Ill do another 50% change tomorrow. Also, adding the airsone has helped a lot so all is not too bad. As a precaution, im leaving the airstone in the tank tonoght just to make sure. Should i change my mixture and add it so i get co2 tonight? Or should i wait until everything has cleared up and then start adding co2 again?

thanks

1 teaspoon of yeast is what happened. The yeast has got into the tank. It is possible to overdose using yeast kits but I do say it is impossible as I don't beleive there is anyone who is going to put 4 or 5 kits on a small tanketc. etc.

If you are using 3 on a 125Ltr then you will be on the max. If your tank is bigger than 125 you should be using pressurised anyway.
