I found a really powerful airator the other day that I forgot I had and set up a bubble wall all along the back of my 4ft, I like the look and even on the minimum setting it is like a fine white wall up the back, on the full setting its really impressive and looks like a lemonade bottle when it been shaken being opened.

The Kribs and Clowns love playing in it, the panchax were not so keen so I cordoned off an area using the jet from the filter and they seem happy to play then rest in the calm area. the front and middle of the tank are not really affected so the other fish seem fine.

I was just wondering whether its possible to put too much air in the water for the fish or the plants?

No. The only negative thing I could see from it would be some fish prefer calmer waters, like your panchax. :)

My Pictus loves the bubbles, the Cray too. the only thing is if you have a planted tank, the turbulence on the surface will deplete CO2.
