my 36 gallon tank is pushing two marineland 30 gallon filters and has at the bottom a 10 inch airstrip. my tank now has a billion bubbles floating around. ive had the tank set up for months now with everything its always had running and am wondering where theyre all comming from. its kinda cool looking but when i look at my 20 gallon i see its crystal clear. anyone explain this? is my water quality changing? are the fish ok? i hope its a good thing

If the airbubbles are very fine I would say they are coming from one of the power filters. Try turning the airstone off for 10minutes and see if the fine bubbles are still present. If so one of the filters has a leak and is sucking in air.

well shoot guys. i spose that makes sense that the filter is seeping air into the tank. im going to look into figuring out which one it is. is this correct though? too much aeration is bad? if it is ill make this a priority

the only way too much aeration can cause a problem is if the tank is full of bubbles and the fish are in contact with them. I have never seen a tank like that and doubt that one exists. The only other issue that occurs from too much aeration is excess water movement and that could be a problem to some fish that don't like lots of water movement, ie: Bettas.
Lots of surface turbulence from aeration is only going to maximise the oxygen levels in the water.

or if youve got a planted tank any CO2 in the water will disperse much quicker.

This is baaddd news
