Too Many Bloodworms?

My male betta has been poorly but I think he's on the mend now. To cheer him up a bit I've given him some bloodworm. I've been putting them in the tank one at a time and he gobbles them up. He's had about 6 now in the space of an hour. They're frozen ones but I've thawed them out. Is it possible to feed them too many or can I just keep giving him them until he doesn't want anymore?

not an expert so heres hoping everyone doesnt burn me at the stakem bloodworm ok for a treat , used to give it to my fish once a week, if you feed them to often i found it could constipate my fish , have you fed it a shelled pea yet ? yum :good:

My betta died of too much blood worms unforuntantly..

I miss him quite alot as i was able to stroke him..

Either bloat got him

Or over fed.

Aslong as he doesnt get into the habit of just eating live foods only, this could be ok.
Just dont feed him anymore until a few days now.

Possibly only 3 bloodworms once a week :good:

Well I tried but he didn't even look twice! The bloodworms don't even touch the sides, he hoovers them up like spaghetti. He even takes them straight off a fork. Do you think I should not give him anymore then? He's only just looking better, don't want to kill him with kindness!

You have to be careful when feeding.

Fish are greedy little buggers and will eat beyond their means and wont stop when full. You'll know if you've overfed them as they will often get bloated and look pregnant but you dont want to get to that point so dont keep feeding them just because the fish is eating.

Only feed what the fish can eat in 2 mins

You are better underfeeding than overfeeding.
