Hey forum,

I recently started feeding my turtles Tomatoes and my lord they love them,
and just curious can my corydoras/bristle nose catfish eat them? I imagine they can but better to be safe than sorry :)

I would stay away from them as they tend to be very "juicy" and will mess with water quality as a result.

i fed my fishies cucumber last night and they were chewing my hand off for them

its still in there now (big piece) its staying in tonight and coming out tomorow morning as the plecs are onit atm n im out tonight.... cant spoil their fun can i?!!

I do feed cucumber,
but surely if I remove all the juice and pips they can enjoy the skin and the fleshy stuff....

Tomatoes are acidic and messy it won’t be good for your water quality
Get them frozen live food instead :good:

As long as the tomato was really rip and mussy it should be ok. Maybe some cherry tomato's or anyone that not that rip. Like others said may not be a good idea but you could always try! :good:

How are you guys feeding the cucumber to the fish i tried a slice before and nothing happened.

the only time in fish keeping where i have heard the two words tomato and fish in the same sentence is tomato clown fish. i wouldnt feed any of my fish tomato

For most of my fish I cut then up real small and trow a few chunks in. For my clown loachs I just cut off slice and grab a samll rock to hold it down. :good:

Well I gave them it and they loved it :shout:
I cut it in half and got out all the pips ans juice so it dont foul the water.
My corydoras went crazy and my catfish eventually found it and got stuck in

Well got up this morning and the entire tomatoe has been gutted :)
Just smooth skin like you have on the outside on the inside.
