Question - Are Rainbow/Ruby Sharks aggressive as redtails? Can they live with small central american cichlids such as a small convict?

Rainbow Shark has about the same temperament as the Red-tailed, in my experience. I personally don't like the mix with a Convict. That Convict wont stay small for long. Plus you have a pair of Convicts, right? Pairs can get pretty territorial. You also have a Jack Dempsey in that tank? Gets large and is aptly named.
You could probably put a decent sized Rainbow Shark in with your other fish in the 200 gallon. With that much room I don't think you'll get any interaction with the Balas.
