thanks rose- pics when I get me new digi cam (the cheapy one doesnt like indor pics). While your there - I posted this elswhere " am about to start taking water stats - should I do it before or after a wc? (doing about 25% a day with a gallon from the hex)

Oh, and there was one dead plant when they came - they are going to replace it for me (nice service)

I do water testing before the water change to see where my quality is and then again the day after water changes. That way I can see if I need to do more water changes or if I'm on the right track. Rose

not too thrilled about the extra work are ya.....neither am I. That's why I don't take them all the time. The only time I do take water samples is when I see a fish under the weather or I add something new to the tank. Other wise I'll do them once every 3-6 months. Rose
