To much light?

Will having too much light hurt the fish. Like a Meltal Hailde on with clowns anenome and live rock.
 
You cannot have too much light... erm.. unless you have a tank with low light loving creatures :S :crazy:

But seriously, Metal halides dont really come near the power of the sun so these fish will be fine. Anemones and corals need the intense light or they will die (or at the least not grow very well) Fish that live among such corals and inverts are wells ited to high light areas.

You can get certain fish that prefer deeper waters and thus lower lights: Some Anthias and Angels, In fact my Wattanabea Angel prefers deeper water and lower light but it doesnt seem bothered at all with the 400w Halide and 2x 50/50/ T5s 8 inches or so above its head. :rolleyes:
