All you can do is try a bacterial med in issolation. Not melafix and internal bacteria med.

Does the lump look like a cauliflower.

Nope, they wont help.

This is either internal bacteria (what it looks like) or maybe the virus.

Sorry to say, but given my experiences with dwarf gouramis in the past - if I was in your position with one of my fish, I would euthanise the poor thing now rather than let it go on even longer like this - I've never even heard of anyone successfully treating a dwarf gourami that's gone like this.

And don't buy any more dwarf gouramis.

realy that is so sad!!!!! :-(

how should i euthanise it, is it contageos?

Depends what it actually is to weather or not it's contagious, but it sometimes can be from what I've been. Keep up water changes for the next few weeks, do extra to make sure all the fish are perfect.

There's a lot of conflicting information and opinions on euthanasia, but I think regardless the best way is the only proven fast way - for a fish that size I would very quickly put it in a bag and hit it with a brick or similar. It's instant and certainly woks.

I would avoid things like clove oil, cold water or freezing. They may be easier for us to do, but there's no way of telling what its like for the fish, and they are slower methods that have a lower success rate.

ooow! that sounds awfull shame i couldnt possibly!!

Then your just going to have to go with the medication and watch the fish slowly waste away. Your choice, I know what I'd do.

If you really couldn't euthanise, you could ask someone you trust to do it for you.
