To Light Or Not To Light

Hi Guys,

The heater has given up the ghost and as the Tank is in the kitchen, I was thinking would I get away with a clip on light over it to keep some temp going on in there. The Snails are abso fine and in late afternoon the sun shines fully on the tank. It's just as it's comming up to winter time, should I invest in another heater or just get a light. Would appreciate any advice. Oh yes, back down to one wage, Mr littlemonkey laid off again, so I'm looking for economical solution aswell. Cheers

Oh yes the yellow disc's you see on the tiles, was my attempt at lighting before, a cheap B & Q stick on job totally useless, A - it kept falling off B - The batteries didn't last very long. I've seen a clip on Vavarium lamp, would this be safe to use on this tank, it has sliding glass panels on the top.
