To Drill Tank Or Not

I am currently working out my next tank project 18" Cube with Sump and I am trying to work out if it is better to drill the cube and put a Durso standpips fitting in or just use a hang on the back weir?

Any input welcome.

Definitely drill it if you can. Much less chance of it failing.

In this case I would advise caution. Is the tank glass or acrylic? And how thick is it? If the walls are too thin, you risk cracking/splitting them with drilling...

Its being made to order so the drilling will be done before I get it so should be no issue.

id have them drill it, maybe look t closed loop too. equipmentless tank would be cool.

drill it. I bought a new tank because my other one was tempered and the thought of losing a siphon and flooding made me cringe.
