ray and oddball keeper !!
hi been offered some potamotrygon hystrix, as you'd know there is only 1 true hystrix stingray, there are others traded under that name but is a different species.
now, questions!
i don't know where the true hystrix is from, brazil is it? the other 'false' hystrix are from peru i believe, or it it the other way round? this is my dilemma!!
right as far as i can work out the true hystrix ray is from the rio negro, brazil.
these ones i have been offered, i have been told they were caught in colombia, river metae, think they meant river meta. its the only river i can find that is similar!
so that would suggest these are 'false' hystrix'.
could someone correct me or just tell me what they know please, the rays are £99 each so your opinion on the price of which ever of the rays this is. i will ask him to send me a picture of the actual rays and add it if and when i get it.
