Tips On Spawning?

hi,
well i have had my apistogramma hongsloi for 4 days now, and they have settled in very well, my male is fairly large and very pretty and the female is very small and not interested! haha
are there any tips on trying to encourage them to spawn?
i heard water changes at a slightly lower temp water would encourage and maybe some live food?

Doing the mentioned cooler water changes & live food when a low pressure system is moving through helps as well. I always toss in a bit of bbs so the adults see fry size food present. Some tannins in the water, peat or driftwood may help as well.
