Tips On Rotala Indica Care?

I got a seemingly healthy Rotala Indica a couple weeks ago, and its branches have been randomly snapping in half. It's in a tropical tank and none of the fish are big enough to bite the stems off.

The current is just strong enough to ripple the surface, it doesn't move the plant at all.

Strange, where they snap at the exact point does it look like a clean break or does it look a bit scraggy?

The cuts seem fairly clean, almost like someone tried to use rusty scissors.

Hmm was gonna say if they look scraggy then the bottoms aren't getting enough light but that sounds a little odd to me.
