Hi All,

It doesn't just rain it pours...

Not only have I found I have whitespot in my main tank but I also have a crazy white worm population coming out of my filter when turned on after it's off for a bit. I think the better half has let the side down and fed too much whilst I've been away for work...causing a planaria outbreak maybe?

The white worms are about the half the length of blood worm and a lot thinner and translucent

The fish and fry seem quite happy to scoff them down but as this is the first time I've seem them I feel a little nervous

Can anyone make any suggestions on what they are? Are they dangerous to my fish or are they just a good feed for them? How on earth did they get there?

Hopefully they're just a brucy bonus for all the fry to eat???

Thanks

Confirmed Planaria, can't see any now, must have been a "bloom" and they are all eaten...? There were about 100 hungry mouths in there :)

As posted above they were "Planaria", a type of flat worm. None are visible now as the fish ate them all up, a group of 100 fry so they're weren't there too long...
