Hello,

My tank is currently cycling, so whatever these things are, they are not having any affect on any fish.. so thats a relief. But... i have been looking in the tank, and there are a handful of tiny white specks the size of a pin head that are crawling on the bogwood. The bogwood was soaking for 4 weeks before being added into the tank, and has been scrubbed. So were the rocks.. so.. hopefully they came in with the plants, otherwise i'm drinking the little buggers..

Any idea what they might be, or what i can do about them. I need to know if they are an issue before i go adding fish... Maybe the fish will eat them anyway.. ;)

I cant photo them, they just wouldn't come out in a photo..

Cheers

could be planeria, totally harmless.
if you don't feed your fish for a few days they(the fish) will eat them.

Thats good news.. where do they come from?

often caused by (but not exclusivly) over feeding
like ich they lie dorment in the tank until the correct conditions allow them to "appear"

Sounds like its the funny tank conditions whilst cycling then...

Thanks for your help Wolf... ;)
