Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations on a timed feeder. I'll be gone a few times this year for 2+ weeks. I've read that the Ehein 3581 is the cream of the crop - any opinions? How long do these timers last for if I'm feeding them once a day? Or can you set them to feed every other day, etc.? I need something that will last 5 weeks.

Thanks! :)

how well do you get on with your neighbors ?? or any friends you can trust ?? these are the best timers to use, they will even pick the mail up from the front door and if your really lucky you may get a model that will stock the fridge with fresh milk / beer, bread and butter for when you get back so can grab a nice cuppa / pint and a sandwhich.

Well, I left it to some trusty friends to water our plants the last time we were gone and 1/2 survived...

If you really, really need a feeder try to get a mains operated one; if you're away and something happens to the power, you don't need a battery operated feeder carrying on dumping food in the tank when the filter may not be working. You say 2+ weeks, any idea how much longer than two weeks it could be?. Lots of fish can be left for two weeks. If you can get someone to feed them even once during the two weeks it would be fine.
