I have breed some krib and have had the fry for about 3 weeks now. The parents have started to leave the fry to do wha they like now and don't seem to be taking care of them as much.

However, my male has started harasing my female. (chasing her none stop around the tank) I have moved here for the meantime but was was wondering what else I can do. It is only the krib in the tank at the minute with a plec. Should I add some more fish or remove the fry, or both?

Thanks :)

most likely and im only hypothesising here so you will need someone else to confirm this but your male is most likely ready to breed and your female needs a rest

I have put her in a large breeding trap from the time being as i have no where else to put her just yet as my other tank already has another pair of krib in it. She seems happier in there and her fins ahve recovered from the nipping because I have been treating her with myxazin. I dont really want them to breed again (well not jsut yet anyway) so was thinking about removing their cave. However, I was thinking this increase the aggression? What does anyone else think?

I would take her out of the breeding trap. That will stress her out more. Just get rid of the male. He is causing all the aggression.

shes not stressed out at all... shes fully coloured up and feeding. the trap is over 4 times her size... its big! I have taken him to my work and we'll keep him there for a while once the babies have grown
