Time to introduce discus

I have not kept discus, but from what I have read so far about discus it seems that these fish deserve a tank of their own, and every other aspect of the tank should be focused on them and their preference.

I also read somewhere that clown loaches (even small ones) begin to bully discuss during feeding, and their hyperactivity can bother the discus because anytime the clowns rush to their hiding place (which they do all the time) the discuss feel there is danger around and get stressed.

Personally I would introduce the discuss first in the tank, after they have settled a bit and started eating regularly, then I might introduce a shoal of peaceful fish for "dither affect"... well, that is my plant when i get the time/money to setup a discus tank.

As I said in my post - "remember - these are just personal opinions from personal experience".
My friend who keeps Discus stumbled across the Clown Loach problem when he was observing them during the early hours of the morning - and they were 'overactive' and disturbing them when they were trying to rest - personal experience.
Discus can be extremely shy and finicky and I thought it best to mention the 'overactive' fish problem.
Don't get me wrong - some people have kept them with Discus and not worried about this problem - I just thought it worth mentioning.
How did my friend come across this problem? - from one of his Discus books by Degen, Wattley.......

Check out www.discusmadness.com - a forum dedicated to discus :)

Again, like I said earlier, most cories are not going to be able to withstand the high temps the discus need. Only sterbai can.
